I've been looking around at numerous resorts in Riviera Maya and the situation is the same. ![]() Might as well just book directly if I feel like shelling out that kind of money. So it seems like a complete waste of an exchange to me. I called Interval to better understand the all inclusive fees and was told that it is $300/pp/night! Going with a group of 4, that is $8400! The problem is that I can book a 2 bedroom (which includes the all inclusive fees) directly on their website for the same price. The resort looks amazing and was pretty excited to see it pop up as an exchange option. As an example, I was looking at booking the Generations at Riviera Maya by Karisma. Many of the resorts have absurd prices, upwards of $300/night/person. I've been looking into all inclusive resorts in Mexico, and it seems that this advantage quickly disappears when taking into consideration the all inclusive fee. It's always a great deal and I end up feeling good about myself when I talk to others who paid $3k for a room that I traded for. I've exchanged all over the world and have been pretty luck to get some amazing deals. Would like to get other Interval members feedback on exchanging into an all inclusive resort in Mexico. ![]()
